In order to safeguard the life and property of the people in Xinjiang frequent earthquake area, our Party and Country has carried on seismic and comfortable housing project. Half-timbered house which is studied by this paper is one kinds of Xinjiang new seismic house.According to the requirment which is provided by Xinjiang Construction Bureau, this paper designed structural scheme of half-timbered house. This paper studied on the reaction of half-timbered house in difference earthquake intensity, wave and verified the capacity of resistance under earthquake by shaking table test, theoretical analysis and finite element analysis.The half-timbered house was carried on shaking table test, theoretical analysis and finite element analysis and the main conclusion can be arrived as follows:1. The failure mode of half-timbered house and masonry structure house under earthquake is discribed by shaking table test. It is that the model reaction of strain, acceeration, displacement and stiffness degradation regulation under each condition is derived.2. This paper has drawed additional quality cantilever beam model and the dynamic characteristics of prototype structure has been studied by dynamics method.3. According to equivalent stiffness formula, the effect which roof type has put on structure has been investigated between half-timbered and masonry structure.4. Finite element modle of original mold has been built by SAP2000 and quake reaction of finite element modle has been investigated under different behavior. The study of this article provides some theory accordance for the generalization of Xinjiang seismic and comfortable housing project. It also has some reference value for futher study of masonry structure.
