| The Xi'an City Wall of Ming Dynasty is the invaluable material cultural heritage for human being, which is also the important example and origin for studying culture & art, science & technology as well as social development. In the paper, taking the landscape environment of the Xi'an City Wall of Ming Dynasty as the main study object, on the basis of gathering lots of basic information by deep investigation and study on as well as visiting landscape of the Xi'an City Wall of Ming Dynasty, Ring Park, Shuncheng Lane section, we summarize and analyze from the aspects of landscape ecology, space form, green-planting, line of sight analysis, environment facilities, collective behavior and so on, therefore, we think that landscape environment of the Xi'an City Wall of Ming Dynasty is a very complicated landscape system with multi-factor taking Landscape environment of the City Wall and space limit factors as main background. And it is a green and opening space merging the space content and mean of historical and cultural sites, city wall landscape, urban public activity, green plants and so on. It faces with a practical contradiction that how to protect, build and develop the City Wall landscape reasonably. With view to the actual situation of landscape environment and the existing problems, we should bring into the appraisal meaning of landscape environment in the respects of composing element and appraisal system.At first, we give a definition to the content and object for acceptability appraisal of landscape environment of the Xi'an City Wall of Ming Dynasty; then we analyze appraisal factors for the Xi'an City Wall of Ming Dynasty landscape to provide theory support for building acceptability appraisal system and duly set up comprehensive acceptability appraisal system for ancient wall, in which quantification is the major appraisal method; meanwhile, basic investigation and qualitative appraisal method are also included. From the points of planners and managers, we systematically analyze the Xi'an City Wall of Ming Dynasty landscape environment and resolve the appraisal object in the form of tree diagram. The appraisal object can be divided into four layers, i.e. object layer, comprehensive appraisal layer, element appraisal layer and factor appraisal layer. Finally, we select 39 appraisal criteria and provide their appraisal standards from which we choose the most suitable appraisal criteria. We take comparative matrix to decide and obtain the appraisal results. Therefore, the construction of the acceptability appraisal system of landscape environment of the Xi'an City Wall of Ming Dynasty is finished.In the part of application, taking the landscape environment of the City Wall of Xi'an of Hanguang Gate-Jianguo Gate section for example, the acceptability appraisal has been completed with the above-mentioned methods and models and with reference to the multi-factor statistics and analysis. Study suggests the landscape environment of the Hanguang Gate-Jianguo Gate section is in a superior status overall except some shortcomings existing in the landscape sight, the landscape space, environmental facilities, etc. Above all, it is recommended that the landscape sight, the landscape space and environmental facilities should be improved in order to meet the requirements for future development of the ancient city, Xi'an.Considering that combining the appraisal with the landscape layout itself is a complicated issue the planning sector facing and taking account of the different regional characteristics of different provinces and regions, this paper proposes some advices and suggestions to the application of the appraisal criteria system of the landscape environment of the Hanguang Gate-Jianguo Gate section of the Xi'an City Wall of Ming Dynasty. |
