Though having a five-thousand-year history, our nation has unavoidably been influenced by the wave of modern science of the fast developing world. People nowadays often feel that they do not know where they are, or when it is now, especially when they talk about art. The E generation know little about the culture and history of their nation. They do not know the difference between the several dragon emblazonries, which makes us really sad. We are facing a very serious problem: which way our art should go to and how our design can develop itself on its best way? Some designers of wisdom hold that tradition should be respected but it has not become a tide now. the design with our tradition still has a long way to go. In such a society of material, the symbol meaning of goods is much more important even than the goods themselves: the packaging design has become a more and more valuable and meaningful part of goods. So ,the design of the packaging material has been gaining a more and more important place. A classic design can make the goods become more valuable and be accepted more readily by the consumers. All the designs are with cultural meaning, and undertake the culture and literature of the nation or area. Accordingly, we should pay more attention to the design of goods, especially to those about foods. The traditional emblazonries are important elements of our nation . we should use them to the design of the packaging material because it is one of the best way to express and carry forward our traditional culture.Of course, it should be mentioned that the using of traditional emblazonries should not be just copies; there are rules and laws which should be obeyed when they are used. Only when the emblazonry can best fit the design of the packaging material and can best improve the value of the goods should they be used as elements of the design. Only when the design unifies the content of the goods and the meaning of our traditional culture can it be called a good design. It surely can make our young people of this generation know of and come to love our traditional culture and certainly come to be proud of our great nation.
