Because of shortage of petroleum sources and deterioration of environment, electronic control technology for fuel injection system of diesel engine has become the research hotspot and trend at present and in the future as one of the main technical means improving the fuel economy and reducing emission with development of electronic control theory.Various electronic fuel injection systems have been developed.Electronic unit pump(EUP)and common rail(CR)are the most popular systems of them.All of them are still continuously being developed and consummated.We engaged late in the research of the electronic fuel injection of diesel engine,the level is also lower.But it is the urgent task for our diesel engine industry to track the advanced technology and develop new electronic fuel injection system which is suitable for Chinese conditions.The electronic control technology based on electronic unit pump for diesel locomotive engine(12V240ZJ6E)and the invariableness power control technology for synchronous traction generator(TQFR-3000)have been researched in this paper. Designed the ECU of electronic unit pump and synchronous traction generator and built the foundation of reducing fuel consumption and emission.The major achievements of this research could be summarized as follows:1.Combined with the topic of our research,the primary factor affecting diesel engine performance is analyzed.The control strategy of the electronic control diesel engine and synchronous traction generator has been put forward.2.In this foundation,the plan of the overall design of the system has been proposed and the sensors selection has been completed.3.The hardware of system has been designed,including microprocessor selection,control circuit design,external signal conditioning circuit and solenoid valve drive circuit design.The driving circuit performance has been verified through the test.4.The software of system has also been designed,including diesel speed calculation,CAN bus driver design,diesel injection control and generator excitation control procedures design.
