With the developing and expanding of Power System, the length and transmitting power of the transmission and distribution line are also increasing. In the AC transmission lines of UHV and long distance, the transmission capacity of lines is always affected by the limit of static stabilization and dynamic stabilization. In AC transmission system , using series capacitance to compensate lines' impedance to shorten electrical distance of different generators, increase the synchronous moment, improve the stability of Power System, reduce voltage decreasing and relative power angles. Thereby improving stable level of Power System, increasing transmission capacity of transmission line and improving electrical networks' actual transmission ability.Based on the YangCheng-Sanbao SC project, this paper dicussed The System Integration Technical and Engineering Design scheme of 500kV Series Compensation Equipment, presents the configuration and specification of main equipment, overvoltage protection configuration, measuring and control protection system integration scheme, as well as the equipment electric layout design.
