With the implementation of saving energy and declining energy loss in power plant and the increasing request of the units'operational level,it is very important to research thermal power unit optimization operational guidance.According to the actual situation of power plant units, units'economy indexes calculating model was summarized;How to determine the operational target values and energy-loss analysis methods were researched, the variable quantity of energy-loss coefficient was introduced to consummate the calculating model.The influence to coal consumption rate of operational controllable factors was argued.Expert system was used to design the mentality of optimizatiom operational guidance;Knowledge base and inference engine were designed and the opreational process was confirmed by the trial model; unit optimizatiom operational guidance system was developed. It was proved that the instruction function based on energy-loss analysis,expert system and database could serve unit's operation to raise the economic efficiency .
