Recreation Culture And Urban Recreation Space Design

With the fast developing of the social, people can be liberated from hard work, so recreation is becoming an important part of the daily life. Someone said that the twenty first century is the beginning of recreation time. This thesis tries to summarize the value of recreation and the development trend of it by deeply analysis of the essence of recreation and the history of the recreation culture in this background. And then it analyzes how to design and improve the recreation spaces of a city to response for this trend.First, this thesis summarizes the moral and characteristics of the recreation by analyzing the meaning of it. Then the essay obtains the great significance of it for the development of the human nature. The significance embodies the ultimate goal of the development of human. Second, the essay illustrates the history of the recreation culture and compares the recreation culture of China and west countries. And then analyzes the current situation of recreation culture of our country, which to conclude the way to suit and improve this situation from the angle of recreation space design. The third chapter gives a sketch of the concept and classification of the city recreation space and looks back the development track of it to investigate the sense of it. This last chapter is the specific way to design a recreation space. It analyzes the behavioral pattern of people to get the principles of the design and then shows the key points to design squares and parks and so on.The thesis doesn't do the research of the recreation space design only from the angle of landscape design, but also combines with the recreation culture to discuss the design from an overall viewpoint. It is hoped that the result can provide useful information for the research of the theory and methods of the city recreation space at present.
