Preliminary Study Of City Park Recreation Space Construction Based On Behavioral Psychology

With the changement of urban landscape and the improvement of people’s level material, people’s spiritual needs are also rising. As one of the bearers to meet people’s spiritual needs, the city park is in evolving. The designing direction and trend of city park’s recreational space are developing, at the same time, design-oriented process should be changed from the designer and leader decision-making-oriented into being attented at meeting the needs of the user behavior and psychological needs. Park is an environment to meet the various needs of human behavior, psychological, physiological, emotional, and its usefulness should be more important than ornamental. The designer must establish the designing thinking, serving for the visitors’behavior and psychological needs, exploring how to meet such demand, which is the design process.The paper describes the current designing status and problems of the park space for recreation in the introduction, propose the significance of the behavioral psychology applied to the design of space for recreation. Chapters Ⅱ and Ⅲ are the part of basis theory, including the defined in key concepts, studys on the theoretical basis of the environment-behavior of Applied Psychology. The fourth chapter on top of basic theory of bedding, analysis behavior patterns of the urban park visitors and the recreation between the space and the vistors, Summed up the common of environment for popular with tourists. The fifth chapter selected the Wenjiang zhixin park and Huanhuaxi Park as the study case in Chengdu, and combined with the theories of behavioral psychology, thesis analyzes and evaluates visitors behaviors the different recreational space of park, based on research methods,such as field observations, interviews and questionnaire,and summarizes the strengths and weaknesses of the two parks on the design method,at the same time, and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions improved for the inadequacies. Stress the effects of detailed design of landscape to the behavioural psycology of people who live in the environment. The last part based on the findings and analysis results, ittries to put the design strategy of park space for recreation, the experience rose to the level of theory, which is able to meet the visitors’ behavior and psychological needs, and provides reference methods and ideas for the design of urban park space for recreation in future.
