Study On Factors That Effect On Underground Space Development

With the development of economy, scale effect and assemble effect in cities, the land price and building density both rise.Many cities are planning to develop the underground space in order to make full use of urban land. Costs and residents custom remain a major barrier to the development of the urban underground space, so the assessment of underground construction is necessary.The study about underground development can make the the developing, scale and form under control.This thesis consists of two parts: the part of theory (from Chapter 1 to Chapter 3) and the part of practice (from Chapter 4 to Chapter 5). Chapter 1 introduces some related theories about the development of urban underground space; Chapter 2 mainly focuses on the necessity of underground development and theory about underground space developing; Chapter 3 looks into the ways to developing underground space in Japan USA and Europe, including the advantages and disadvantages in these development models.In chapter 4 and chapter 5, this thesis chooses 16 domestic cities as a case. The data from 16 cities are calculated with the facter analysis, and then the major factors about underground space development can be finded out. Chapter 5 particularly compares the analyzed result with the actual development.The method in this thesis originates from the classification of urban land grades.Considering the multiplex in underground development; this thesis chiefly discusses the total scale of urban underground space.
