Along with the electronics devolopment, most production development of ventilator in domestic and international are developing to the high technique content & intelligence turn & multi-function direction. The embedded operation systems are developing to the miniaturization and intelligence turn direction. The interface of system are developing to the the humanized direction of "simple, nature, amity, consistent". The software design & realization of ventilator and how to build the embedded Linux system are discussed detailed in this paper.First,On the whole, the software is divided into several modules.Every module realizes certain function. First, the interface of ventilator based on MiniGUI is realized in this paper, and it has been showed on LCD successfully. Some important aspects, such as making out and realizing the interface, using PinYin to input and transplanting it into embedded Linux, are dissertated in the paper.Secondly, the new breathing mode---PC mode is thought and designed. Distinguished from the traditional pressure control mode, the new mode is designed not only for patient without breathing but also for patient with breathing ability.Last, how to build the embedded Linux system and the A/D conversion drives procedure are discussed. Transplant the whole software system and make interfaces can be displayed on LCD correctly. The result shows that the man-machine interface based on MiniGUI is friendly, easy and secure operation, resolving only some figures are showed on nixietube before. Adopting embedded Linux system makes the function of the breath machine's software and hardware more strong, and it is advantageous to get high class.
