With the economic development of cities along the Yangtze River Basin,the trade with foreign countries becomes more and more frequent,and river-and-ocean going transport vessels(including the foreign ship) increasing.Because the difference between the foreign ENC and the internal ENC,it will be inconvenient and risky to the river-and-ocean going transport vessels' navigation.So we in order to fulfill the requirement of the development of the shipping,Yangtze River shipping-related departments and institutions advice improve the electronic charts of Yangtze River. The electronic charts of Yangtze River must adopt the international standards about ocean electronic charts,and they also have to adopt the practical requirements of the inland river in china.So it will be very important to make the correlative ECDIS standard which it not only applies to the inland river in china,but also ocean.Because of modernization of navigation and mature of the computers,the international ECDIS Presentation library which it is being used is reasonably consummate,and it is being used widely.So in order to adapt river-and-ocean ships, and make these ships to use Yangtze River ECDIS Presentation library,this art designed Yangtze River ECDIS Presentation library under the IHO S-52 Presentation library.The main job of this art is:Combining IHO S-52 Presentation library and Rhine Presentation library of Germany,we form ourselves Yangtze River ECDIS Presentation library,it farther extends Yangtze River symbol library,researches the look-up table thoroughly,and enlarges the look-up table of the new symbols.It can make the symbol display on the ENC,and it consummates Yangtze River ECDIS Presentation library.This art mainly explains the usage of look-up table and its extension at length.In succession,I finished the extension of the look-up table,and fulfill symbolization of the new symbols.In order to test new symbols,we designed the testing platform.At last,we carry out the new symbols on the ECDIS.In order to accommodate the development of Chinese economy,it is an important task to fulfill the Yangtze River ECDIS Presentation library.But it can not finish it in one day.It needs the efforts of one generation after one generation.We also need further research in China inland Objects Category,extension of symbols and look-up table.I hope some people continue to research it seriously.
