Comparing with traditional two-level inverter,the multi-level inverter could decrease voltage steps which lead to the production of higher power quality waveforms and lower the dv/dt stresses on the load, and also reduce the electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)concerns. Therefore,in this paper, firstly,we give a summary knowledge of variety topologies of multilevel inverters, and then do some deep research on embedded Diode-Clamped three level inverter and its application in AC driving.Now,the following several aspects had been researched carefully and deeply.This paper first introduced the configuration of the three-level inverter and PanBoolean algebra. The principle of space vector pluse width modulation (SVPWM) in the control of 3-level inverter was stated. SVPWM algorithm used Boolean algebra to make further simulation. Then, the resolving process was given and the program was tested and verified. In this foundation, it bring up the three-level inverter's controlling plan based on ARM and FPGA technology, carried out the designing and debugging of the hardware circuit and software system. As for the design of the systematic hardware, the hardware resources of the ARM and FPGA chips were made full use of in view of the controlling characteristics of Diode-Clamped three-level inverter. The control system in which chip LPC2210 and EPF10K10 were taken as the core was designed. The corresponding peripheral hardware detection and the protection circuit were also designed to make the structure of the control system compact and reliability high. As for the design of systematic controlling software, the modularized programming method was taken to strengthen systematic readability and the maintainability and realize a kind of SVPWM timing control system. Combining with the systematic hardware design,the corresponding error protection software module was developed to enable the system to have more perfect protection and control performance. Finally, the problems which appeared in the whole debugging of the actual system as well as the debugging process had been stated briefly. The digital oscilloscope was used to observe the actual system's operational parameters. And then the corresponding conclusion was educed. The facts proved that this system turns out to be feasible and can operate nomally. It basically attained the anticipated target.
