As the high-speed development of China's auto industry and transportation, China's tire industry also has developed by leaps and bounds. The output of tires increased a lot. Among thoses, all-steel radial tire with various advantages has become the mainstream products of the world tire industry. However in the production process there will inevitably be all sorts of defects which may impact the life of the tire, or even impact the safety of the user. So the quality testing has become particularly important. The current method is to use X-rey machine to get the image of the tire, and then classified by workers. This method is subjective, and can be easily interferenced by outside factors. Based on the character of the X-ray image and the study of the defect standards, a tire X-ray image defect recognition software system(TDI System) and user interface have been accomplished. Using COM technology the paper accomplished the Automatic Segmentation algorithm and the crown and the sidewall defect identification algorithm of the tire. It created the DLL of all the algorithm, and the data-interact rules between the classes, and finally accomplished the package of the software.Some researches in this dissertation have been carried out as the following:1.From the perspective of software engineering, the modeling design of the software is accomplished. Based on the"System Detailed Design Instruction Booklet", The overall logic of structural design and the framework of the software is build.2.From the engineering point of view, the Automatic Segmentation algorithm and the crown and the sidewall defect identification algorithm are accomplished by using COM technology. which enhanced the algorithm Portability and scalability.3.The zoom display and real-time display of the image is accomplished. The design of file system architecture is completed.4.The DLLs are created using C# in Viusal Studio 2005. The data-interact rules between the classes is created. The classes and the entire software have been packaged.
