The Study On Engineering Education Research Platform Based On RREE

In the era of knowledge economy, our science and technology human resources development will face vigorous of the international competitive environment. While our country asks for more innovative engineering talents, engineering education must now assume new responsibilities, meet new expectations, operate from a strong conviction and sense of empowerment, and take the leadership role. We obtained many effect through our engineering education reform, however it has not to lead systematic and normalized transformation. How to keep sustainable and innovative development of our engineering education is the urgent matter for us now.Through the analysis of the backgrounds for the achievements and experience of our engineering education, combined with forward theories (rigorous engineering education research, RREE) proposed by America, we suggest that engineering education research is the most effective avenue through which we can address overarching and grand questions at the time. Firstly, the paper interprets some concerned concepts about engineering education research, engineering education body of knowledge and research platform. Based on an analysis of the major case about American engineering education research and their body of knowledge, the paper reveals the significance of engineering education research in creating body of knowledge and guiding engineering practice. And try to explore the structure of the engineering education body of knowledge from three dimensions: engineering, education and system. Secondly, the author does statistics analysis of the papers and authors of "Research in Higher Education of Engineering" and "Journal of engineering education (1997-2006). Finally, the paper puts forward conceive of building engineering education research platform based on RREE. In order to realize the main function of this platform, the paper designs the management system of innovation mechanism, coordination mechanism and sharing mechanism for research platform. The final study of engineering education is in the hope of building a research platform to promote China's sustainable development of engineering education and innovation.
