The safety problem of automobile seat includes active safety and passive safety. The active safety of automobile seat refers to the capability of seat to provide the occupant with comfortable environments. The passive safety of automobile refers to the capability of seat to avoid or reduce injury of occupant in crush. To enhance the safety of automobile is important to reduce the injury of occupant when crush happens. Although car seat structure is not quite complex, it has very strong typical and practical significance to study economic car on increasing safety of automobile seat.FEM is based on computer and it can solve complex engineering problem efficiently. As the importance of the traffic safety is taking unceasing enhancement, our country is getting more and more strict with the automobile essential spare part. The GB15083-1994 automobile chair system intensity request and the testing method already revised, the revision uses Economic Commission for Europe ECE R17 laws and regulations, what is different with the prototype content is the seat back and the adjusting device structural testing, the difference is longitudinal exerts the relative chair R spot through the false back model to the seat back the moment of force to become 530Nm backward by original 373Nm. Main job content and research significance have been introduced. In chapter 2, FEM theory and application are introduced firstly, and then the mechanical seat system model of passenger car is set up with Altair HyperMesh software based on the digested software. Introduce the general flow of model setting-up. It consists of FEM skeleton seat base,seatback,adjustment and head restrain base on the research of auto seat static characteristic. This model consists of 6418 nodes, 6414 elements, including 5 beam elements, 5687 quarter elements and 449 triangle elements. According to the new national standards GB15083-2006 request, the chair unit static intensity loads chair's 20 time of gravity value in the chair center of mass place level, the chair loads depending on the secluded intensity in the seat back is opposite in the chair R spot 530Nm moment of force. The simulation result conforms to GB15083-2006 request.In chapter 3, the safety of head restrain is simulated. It includes head restrain post-displacement and static strength characteristic. Through simulation, the safety of the head restrain of the seat can meet the requirement of GB15083-2006.In chapter 4, through exerts the relative Rdian530Nm moment of force to the seat back, has carried on chair's structure optimization, thus determination spare part size. After size discrimination, carries on the simulation under the 530Nm operating mode, may see the optimization from the computed result later each part stress completely in the safe permission scope. The final quality reduced from 16Kg to 15.5Kg, the quality reduced by 3%.Chapter 5 is the summarization of the paper, study contents and results are mainly represented, as well as the study prospect from now on.The study significance of this paper is to master the general modeling steps by using FEM software Altair HyperMesh, we can supply the experience and method for later generation. Through to some passenger vehicle chair unit static intensity and depending on the secluded strength analysis, the chair head rest secure simulation analysis and the structure optimization, has instructed chair's actual development, has certain practical significance, and will have certain reference value to the later similar chair's development.
