Manufacturing facility layout of an enterprise is reasonable or not will directly influence its productivity and production period. The traditional method of facility design is mainly quantitative analysis combining with experience design. This method is complex on computation and the design period is long, and it needs the practical manufacturing to verify the method reasonableness. Thus it increases the cost and risks for company. With the rapidly development of system simulation techenique, using simulation technique into the design, verification and analysis phases of facility design can effectively avoid the risk of changing current facility layout. This paper mainly focuses on those aspects as following:Firstly, this paper analyzes the fundamental theory on logistics system in manufacturing industry and presents the logistics simulation principles, then comes out the Petri theory and analyzes why the common Petri Net can not meet the logistics modeling. Meanwhile, it educes the ESHLEP-N to build the model for manufacturing logistics system and the basic steps of using ESHLEP-N in logistics system in manufacturing industry.This paper presents a simplified model by investigating and collecting data from a seat assembly-line. The manufacturing pattern of this workshop mixes up human being and robots. Regarding the specification of this workshop, the manufacturing characterstics and the simulation principles are analyzed and found out those issues in manufacturing site. Then the solution is come out accordingly. By re-simulation, those issues are validated whether they achieve the expected results.The paper studies the design of interface property from ESHELEP-N model to Flexsim model, especially for manufacturing time, preparation time, break-down occurred, working plan and assembly ways in detail. Then this function is fulfilled through revising the property and the ways of interface. After establishing the Flexsim model, validating the simulation model and getting the same results with the practical model, firstly a production plan is run in this model and all factors in each working position are analyzed. Secondly, it needs to do some adjustment to improve the efficiency of manufacturing system and then reduce the inventory of finish goods and semi finish goods.
