Research On Artistic Characteristics And Aesthetical Features Of Hui Ancestral Temple In Quanzhou City

Firstly this paper analyzes the origination and evolvement of conventional constructions in Quanzhou city from historical perspectives, then investigates the characteristics of architectural form of Hui ancestral temple and implication of Hui culture from the intrinsic historical and cultural backgrounds in Quanzhou. In addition this paper expounds on the aesthetical idiosyncrasy of Hui ancestral temple architecture from architectural materials, structural and decorative angles, and discusses the aesthetical features and even cultures of Dings'Hui ancestral temple, the representative of Hui ancestral temple architecture in quanzhou. Finally, we prospect the protection of Hui ancestral temple architectures and hope there are some uses for reference to the development of modern ethical architectures. It is just this paper's purpose.
