Water-source heat pump is a kind of new clean energy heating technology, it is High efficiency, energy saving, Environmental protection, and Emission reduction, if the water is enough, this technology is very suitable to be used as city district heating source, it is an energy saving heating way encouraged by National policy.Dalian is the model city of water-source heat pump cosmically application in china. Through 2 years work, the water-source heat pump technology is recently applied in Dalian, but the general effect is faulty, the water-source heat pump system is lack of competitive power at heating market. Dalian government is hope to find a advantaged way to apply the water-source heat pump in city's heating system.In response to national saving energy and reducing consumption of energy policy, promote large-scale application of heat pump technology in Dalian, and to create a clean and beautiful urban environment, from the market point of view, the paper contrasted the traditional heating system and water-source heat pump system, using the SWOT analysis and value chain analysis, and analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the water-source heat pump system. It proposed to use advantages and avoiding disadvantages, and development of water-source heat pump technology combined with the surrounding thermal power plant in Dalian.The paper established suitable development strategies for large-scale application of heat pump technology, provides decision-making information for the relevant enterprises and departments in the heat pump project, also provides a method of analysis for another similar new clean energy technologies to enter the market in Dalian.
