Over the past 10 years, China has a rapid development of high-grade highway, government departments on the highway also pay more attention to this. Therefore, the maintenance machinery on high-grade highway are facing good opportunities for development. Foreign maintenance machinery on high-grade highway has more mature technologies, but the drawback is that the price and maintenance costs generally higher, so the domestic market share is not high. A few domestic car manufacturing enterprises which have capacity of making maintenance vehicles, whose product performance can be low reliability and the core technology have been not formed. Therefore, development of new maintenance vehicles on high-grade highway is suitable for the national industrial policy, which have huge market prospects.This paper is on the need for project development of maintenance vehicles on high-grade highway and also has a comprehensive analysis on the market and technical feasibility. These products have high added value. Then, according to efficiency requirements for heating repair process on highway asphalt pavement, it's determined to the overall design of the product. The composition of overall structure of the maintenance vehicles to asphalt pavement road is that chassis cars, chassis assembly, Silo assembly, heating wall assembly, conducting oil heating systems, gas systems, compaction device assembly, waste bins and electrical systems, and another assembly parts. The focuses of the paper are that the design of heating wall, Silo assembly, silos" heating system, Silo's internal structure. Heating wall is mainly used of thermal infrared radiation, heating elements are optional to metal fiber carpets, and the structure is that heating plate frame. Silo assembly system is designed to hopper-shape structure, the advantages of which is that if asphalt mixture is in a tilt angle of the circumstance, it is facilitated to move to the spiral axis of losers, which take the initiative to lose the silo's material. Silo gas heating system is mainly used heating conducting oil, conducting oil as a conductive medium, and the way to heat transmission within the Silo asphalt mixture can be achieved with the expected heating and insulation.Finally, after a completion of trial production prototype, a prototype of diagnostic tests will be go on: which can be included on tests of the main silo's volume and quality, test of heating performance of asphalt mixture, tests of silo's insulation performance, tests of heating performance of asphalt pavement and tests of operating reliability and so on, which are all adopted the trial identification of stereotypes of national authority and can be into mass production.
