Asphalt pavement is vulnerable to the influences of changes in external environment andaxle loads, and that would lead to road pavement performance gradual decay until damage.The main early road damage are cracks, rutting, loose, flaking and pits, etc. Methods toextend the life of pavement for its early damage are maintenance and repair in a timelymanner. Preventive maintenance is to take timely measures to prevent further development ofdisease before the road appears significant damage. The high altitude, large temperature andstrong ultraviolet radiation in Tibet lead asphalt pavement damage easier happen, so weshould take preventive maintenance timely. Preventive maintenance agent is a very effectivepreventive maintenance technique, but the sun radiation and aging issues in Tibet would affectthe use effect of pre-curing agent in the area.The asphalt pavement Light screening preventive maintenance agent (referred to as LSpreventive maintenance agent) that early developed mainly consists of high-grade asphalt,organic recycling agent, adhesive curing agent, penetrant and light shielding agent. Its price islow, and can meet the requirements of asphalt pavement preventive maintenance in Tibetregion, but further research and applications found that its curing time is too long andlong-term storage stability is poor. Based on preliminary studies, this thesis optimizes andadjusts the original components, and then determines the proportion of the four maincomponents of rock asphalt: reducing agent: penetrant: solvent oil=20:30:20:30, lightshielding dosage is5%of the four main components, and dispersant is0.4%.Optimization andadjustment LS pre-curing agent has a good quick-drying performance and storage stability.Aiming at lower precision and reliability of existing methods for measuring thepenetration depth, this paper proposes standard measurement methods that based on digitalimages, using this method tests the depth of penetration of LS preventive maintenance agent,finds that the penetration depth between standard specimen and porosity of3%~4%asphaltmixture has a well correlation. The reduction test for three indicators of asphalt manifests thatLS preventive maintenance agent has a good reduction capability; using see page test analysis the changes of pavement seepage coefficient between unused LS preventive maintenanceagent and used the agent, showing that it has a better seal water capacity; analyzes BPNchanges of pavement before and after the LS preventive maintenance agent by the pendulumtest, obtains that must shop sprinkle sand when use LS preventive maintenance agent tomaintain pavement, to guarantee the skid resistance performance of pavement.
