By the highway asphalt pavement mile are extending in our country, some highways are in the fixing period and do not satisfy the original service period in advance by some reasons, make the daily maintain, all-around and some other maintaining working at same time, highway maintaining are in a new complex phase. How to keep the asphalt pavement has an perfect capability, prolong service life, ensure the fast, safe, comfortable and effective communication are more important. Maintain and fixing technology becomes the focus more and more. For the different period asphalt pavement, only optimal place, time maintain could exert the most economy and social benefit on the asphalt pavement. The asphalt pavement which constructed during 1980s and 1990s in our country is going in maintain period, for the highway network, our country should invest large mount of cash, people and material, reduce investment, enhance fixing is more and more important, how to solve the pavement quality and service life are the engineering research focus now.For the damage types on the asphalt pavement, cracks are one of the common, easy appear and early appear. And is the main damage which could not avoid, it will correlation the whole life of the asphalt pavement. Crack is one of the most normal diseases to the asphalt pavement. The rain will go in the lower surface coating by the cracks after they appear, the pavement carrying capacity will decreases while it subjected by the water and communication loading, it will cause some more serious pavement diseases, some of the diseases are visible, but the most damage will not detected, they will come out in the road construction inside and base, and will finally lead to some wholes, even damage the roadbed. So, seal the cracks on the pavement and maintain should be on time.Nowadays, the seal materials have many types, and developing around the whole world. For choose the better, more comfortable, the maintain apartments'decision is different. So, have a good asphalt pavement crack maintaining job, enhance the maintaining effect, prolong pavement service life, consider the maintaining material, the research is necessary.The waste rubber asphalt has wonderful low temperature ability, anti-aging and durability ability, it gets more focus. So, the waste rubber asphalt application technology research has a very important signification. Nowadays, the research of the rubber asphalt in China is just starting, but the development is very fast, by the devices which produce the rubber asphalt is going to be invented, the experience of construct the rubber asphalt is gathering and the technologies are completed, this new research could be better using. Rubber asphalt should extend to highway the maintaining in China.The seal materials will behave a strong embrittlement phenomenon under the lower temperature condition since the temperature crinkle stress and running loading, then the pavement will craze again, in the northern of our country the temperature is lower in winter and the seal material will damage again at here, so all around maintain job will be done every year. For alleviate the maintain cost, search a asphalt pavement seal material for enhance the durability to suit the season freeze, so it is very important to focus this research. The paper research the effect of the rubber asphalt as the low temperature seal material.By the experimental research of the low temperature anti-craze indexes, it shows that the equivalent brittle in the important index to evaluate the cracking resistance, but the low temperature such as 5℃,15℃, and the ductility in the normal temperature to assessment the result is not correct. In the 5 chapter, by the experimental simulate, study the two loaded condition of the crack seal material—tensile and shear load, on the tensile and shear experiment, chosen two types crack width and three types crack seal material to estimate the effect of the different material seal. From the experiment, the tensile and shear load changing discipline of the different crack width and same depth is produced and analyze the seal material, low temperature tensile strength, shear strength and the smallest displacement. Amount data confirms the rubber asphalt as the seal material is better than the other two normal seal material in low temperature.The research obtains the fixing testing effect, choosing a testing road to testing maintaining. By the experimental maintain road and effect analysis, the rubber asphalt as a seal material is available on the maintain effect and economy. Since in the northern part of our country, the rubber asphalt as the seal material has not been extended, the paper proposed to produce and research this material, the application of actual maintain.
