Quayside container crane is absolutely necessary technical equipment in heavy industry transportation in our country.As a large lifting conveying equipment to improve the throughput of loading and unloading,quayside container crane is widespread used in dockyard and port.At present,there are many quayside container crane in our country ports,which are designed by ourself or bought from the abroad in sixties to sevevties.So,there are some problems in the design of quayside container crane by the restriction of the design procedures,such as these cranes were not checked the fatigue strength.The cranes posed the latent threat to the safety in production when they enter the service later period or the extended active duty.Because the crane cost expensive and the limit of the equipment replacement cost,the user always hoped to lengthen its service life as far as possible.This paper takes the quayside container crane as reseach object,based on the theory of the modern fatigue analysis;simulated the container crane's structure by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS,refer to the BS5400 code of practice for fatigue,analysis the metal structure's strength,fatigue,residual life and injury,provided effective methods to solve engineering practice needs.The main research contents are as fellows:1) To build a crane's FEM model by using ANSYS internal command.This is the most basic and important step of the text;2) Analysis the strength of structure;3) Confirm the loads and method of fatigue calculation then check it;4) To analyze the fatigue calculation of the crane,summarizes the positions where are easily to appear the fatigue failure,builds the foundation for the residual life calculation;5) Confirm the method of computation fracture growth speed,and estimate the residual life of the crane;6) Give the assessment method of the crane's injury;...
