Study On Ship Repair And Maintenance Management

Ship repair and maintenance problem is an important component of the modernized operation and management of the shipping companies. Ship repair and maintenance decision-making or not, which maintenance mode to choose and other problems will directly affect the economic efficiency of enterprises. Based on the analysis of the research of ship repair and maintenance at home and abroad, this paper introduces the theoretical basis for ship maintenance, including the concept of maintenance, maintenance ideas, maintenance policy, maintenance system, maintenance mode and the significance of ship repair and maintenance in transport.With the development of shipping industry and participation in international shipping market, the requirements of ship repair and maintenance management continue to increase. At present, the ship management styles are relatively out-dated and ship management still belongs to traditional management mode, that is mainly manual, including the plans, records, reports, procurement of spare parts. It has constrained the management level of ship maintenance, but also affects the safety of the ship, operating rates, ship crew members' business quality. In the end, the shipping company is at a disadvantage in market competition.This paper presents a new idea of the ship repair and maintenance and calls for the ship repair and maintenance issues in the design stage of ships. In the design of the ship, the ship repair and maintenance needs in operation should be considered and CWBT should also be designed. When ship is delivered, the resources and CWBT are got so that the ship will maintain a good operating state in future.This paper studies how to effectively save the cost of ship maintenance through the establishment of the mathematical models, including the choice of maintenance mode and shipyard, the optimization of ship spare parts inventory and the determination of reasonable maintenance cycle. This paper describes the corresponding measures in detail to solve the problem so that the ship will achieve maximum economic benefits.
