Ship Planned Maintenance System (PMS) Application On The Tug Of Port

Ship's Planned Maintenance System (PMS) termed as that ship owners make a detailed periodical maintening plan for ship's machinery including electrical equipments according to the requirement of Classificationg Society's rules and the instruction of the equipments.Its effection can be displayed in two aspects:Firstly, it can effect the system management instead of personnel management. Furthermore, it can relieve the load of Classificationg Society's survey by using PMS, and satisfy the owners'requirement of its own survey. In conclusion, implementing PMS advances the effection of ship's manangement, lowers the cost of ship's running, adds the income of ship's company. Now PMS is put forword step by step in China. This thesis mainly research the application of PMS in the tugs of port.This article mainly introduces the cenception and history of ship's PMS,displays the relationships between ship's PMS and PMS'survey, and the steps and some key problems in applying and implementing ship's PMS.The author also studies the example of applying ship's PMS in the tugs of port, makes the specific items and periodically maintaining method. Also, advances some problems when executing ship's PMS in the tugs. Through developing and applying the software of PMS, the author instructs the advantanges and the convenience which are brought by common use between ships and ports, hopes it could provide some references and helps for more ports which will apply ship's PMS in the tugs.
