Research In Landscape Design Of Boundary Space Of Roadside Green Land

Roadside green space is a welcomed urban public space.It earns increasingly attentions because of its playing an important role in the improvement of the urban environment and of the quality of urban life.Located in the space of the street people's lives,roadside green space is an important part of urban green spaces,and because of its location,as well as the diversity of its form and function,it becomes an important space where people carry out activities in daily lives.In the past, researches on roadside green space mainly concentrated on the design of inner space.However, roadside green space located just in the places where many different types of urban land meet together,and its border becomes the inter-zone that has a close relationship with people' s daily lives for its complexity of functions.The design of this zone affects not only the quality of roadside green space,but also the image of a spot,a block,or even the whole city,as this boundary space is connected with people' s frequent use and contacts.Therefore,researches of roadside green space have a great practical significance.In this paper,the author firstly studies roadside green space's formation and development,its meaning,and its role;the latest changes of roadside green space in the urban development are also studied.Then,this paper classifies the boundary space according to the type of urban land around the roadside green space.At the same time,under the guidance of theories about interface in the field of urban design,architecture,ecology and psychology,this paper concludes impacts of boundary space of roadside green space.This article focuses on the relationship between roadside green space and other urban lands,and analyzes the design of boundary of roadside green space.
