With the development of science and technology, the machine manufacturing way has already changed from mass production to Just-in-Time and Lean Manufacturing way, and will transform to Computer Integration Manufacturing and Agile Manufacturing way further. New production method asks for new demand in facilities layout. Because of the complication of facility layout, the traditional way ,which constructs the mathematical model to obtain the optimization plan, dissatisfied the requirements of modern type of manufacturing and out of date.Firstly, this dissertation analyses the essential types of facility layout and workshop material flow route, introduces the plan of material handing system into the facility layout, and establishes the theoretical framework of material handing system. After explain the mathematical model of facility layout method, the author proposes the facility layout design plan based on Flexsim software simulation.Secondly, the issue of facility layout is a typical discrete event, this paper analyses the key technology of facility layout design by Flexsim. The mathematical model of layout type is studied and the key element of simulation layout model is obtained. The fixed resource and flowitem resources, especially the queue resource function in manufacturing system are researched. This paper explains the realization of process flow of workshop accessory by the push, pull and message-driving of types in teams of workshop logistics. The workshop logistic system, which contains flow node and flow path which connect the flow node is established, the optimization arithmetic of workshop flow simulation by Dijkstra is discussed. The workshop material handing plan avoids the handbarrow collision and explains the task sequences as the transportation strategy in the system.Finally, the possibility of network layout as workshop layout through a case is verified. Setting the parameters, logic strategies and running time of the model. The simulation model of workshop layout is established. By analyzing the queue block proportion, utilization proportion of equipments and handbarrow. Modifying the arrival schedule interval, logical strategy, queue content and handbarrow quantity ,the efficiency of the whole workshop can be improved.This dissertation proposes the simulation data as the evidence of the judgment matrix in AHP, overcoming the decision-making mistake resulted from subjectivity. The improved AHP is used to evaluate the flow layout, process layout and group layout of a case. The simulation results agree with the theory well, so the approach presented in this dissertation is feasible and useful.
