Workshop is taken as the basic unit of manufacturing industry. The reasonable layout of the facilities in workshops plays key role in reducing the cost of material handling, shortening the walking distance for workers, improving the operation efficiency of workshop logistics, achieving the effective operation of the system and establishing competitive for the enterprise. Under the premise of good workshop facility layout, well-functioning workshop production logistics system contribute to reducing the residence time of the material in various processes and material costs, speeding up the production flow rate, reducing production time, and creating the competitive advantage of enterprises based on time.The theory is aimed at the actual situation of the hardware accessories division production workshop of the H company. After analyzing the current situation of the workshop facility layout and the workshop production logistics system, different methods was applied to solve the existing problems separately.First of all, three kinds of layout feasibility plans were designed out to change the original workshop facilities in reasonable way with the workshop facilities layout SLP method. The ways of cost comparison and AHP analysis were carried in comprehensively evaluating to select the optimal layout scheme.Secondly, Flexsim simulation software was applied to establish simulation model of the optimal layout scheme and the old one. Through the analysis of the simulation results, logistics strength of optimal layout reduced by 24.29% in comparison with the old one. It was in accordance with the theoretical result and verified the rationality of the optimal layout.Thirdly, Base on the premise of optimal layout of the program, Flexsim simulation software was carried out to analysis the simulation operation on the workshop production logistics system. It emphasized analyzing the process from the blocking time, processing time, idle time, handling vehicle idle time, temporary storage area of the input and output to find out the bottleneck of the system. The corresponding optimization solutions were brought out according to the causes of the problem analysis.Finally, Flexsim simulation software was applied again to analyze the simulation of the optimized plan, by comparing with a wide range of data from the origin system and optimized one, The analysis was taken to confirm the feasibility and effectiveness of the optimized scheme which aimed at achieving the effective operation of the workshop production logistics system.
