With the increasing development of economics, the scale of freight demands bumps up, and so the society calls for more higher detail requirements for the efficiency,convenience and security . So more and more attention is being paid to the design and optimization for the freight express transportation network, and the network becomes more perfect day by day with the composing and development of integrated transportation system .Based on the model of network optimization, doing theory analysis and example validation of the network topology structure would help for the long term planning of the freight transportation network; and it is of far reaching importance for the national economic effectiveness.Making full use of the complex network theory, this paper summarizes the form,evolvement and characteristics of network model from the view of Mathematics and Physics. Based on these points, the express freight transportation network's definition,characteristics,attributes of statistical measurement and the extra contributing factors are summarized and analyzed in detail.An important part of this paper is to comparing and analyzing the typical freight transportation network combining with the statistical attributes of the complex network and transportation network itself. Both the Point-to-Point network and Hub-and-Spoke network have their own obvious characteristics in structure and function. And their reflection of society and economic efficiency also differs from each other.On the base of the comparison result above, we choose the Hub-and-Spoke network for the following optimization and validation, and this is the key part of the paper. The main research work are done as follows: demonstrating the small-world network model, improve the BA scale-free network model ,building a hierarchical freight transportation network owing "key node, central nodes and rounding nodes ", so that we can improve the efficiency,convenience,accessibility and security. Constructing an example network to validate the modal is part of the work. Applying the advanced BA modal of evolvement to the topology network of container express freight transport, the network and the result is analyzed at last.
