With the forklift seat as the research object, based on the basic concept of ergonomics, this article will explore the industrial design principle of forklift seats to improve the humanization performance of forklift.This article is based on product design method for guidance, aimed at comfort, from the safety and practicality and beauty of the forklift seat, analyze the design and production status in international and domestic market of forklift seat, find the deficiency of domestic forklift seat design, In the sight of ergonomics it analyzed the formation conditions of a comfortable sitting position and the basic method of safety design, and then it determine the basic formation and sizes parameters of the seat, Then in the aspect of practicability and beauty, it gives its own opinion in seat's materials selection and colour scheme. At last, it also validates the rationality of these opinions through three-dimensional computer simulation.
