The Research On Functional Design Of Low-rise And Low-density High-end Residential Building

Low-rise and low-density residential building is a form of high-end residential products. In recent years, this category of housing has been developing rapidly in the urban suburb of China. As a background, through researching and analyzing the project that the author participated in, the author try to summary the origin and development theory of low-rise low-density residential housing at home and abroad. With analyzing domestic research level and the problems existing in designing and practicing, to illustrate the existence and development with historical inevitability of this category of housing. Through analyzing the main design-points of the functional space and scale, this paper summarized the design-principle of its functional and design methodology, and explores the way to integrate traditional Chinese concept into practice in the design. And then, we can integrate the material form and the traditional humanistic spirit of residential function. This paper applied a large number of image data and examples to analyzed and researched this category of housing.Chapter I mainly summarized the background, research methods and meanings, and described the framework.Chapter II illustrated the theory of low-rise low-density residential housing, and its inevitability of existence and development.Chapter III presented the design-points of functional space and its constitution- elements, and analyzed the relevant scale of functional space indoor and outdoor.Chapter IV with zoning the functional space, respectively, discussed the ritual space, personal space, private space, support space and other functions of the different combinations of space.Chapter V classified and analyzed different combination forms of dwelling size, combining with a large number of photos to demonstrate.Chapter VI mainly discussed and summarizes the primary points of planning and design with several forms.Chapter VII proposed functional optimal design strategy from aspects of human, ecological, and public, meanwhile, analyzed the practice of the author.In this paper, followed by the basic room units, combination of functional blocks design to the overall planning settlements design were all analyzed systematically, hoping to provide a reference for the development and construction of low-rise and low-density high-end residential.
