Study Of Relay Protection Setting Management System Based On SaaS

With the development of Internet technology and matured an application, SaaS is an entirely new mode of software applications in the 21st century. In this paper, we studied SaaS model and its advantages, and put the existing software of relay protection setting management into SaaS model. For enterprises, it eliminates the business to buy, build and maintain the infrastructure. For software developers, they do not have to go on-site to upgrade and maintain to meet the users'needs. We use WCF to pack services, use SQL Server 2005 to realize single-instance multi-tenant data model, use ADAM and ASP.NET2.0 Membership to realize user role and security in the software technology. In this mode, through the Internet, the power companies can be inexpensive and easy to obtain the required software and hardware which they do not need a lot of input, maintenance personnel so that they can cost savings in substantial. For the College of developers who do not have time to go to the site, they can be better developing the applications in their related field.
