Landscape Designing Of Urban Roadside Greenbelt In The Winter Cities

Because of the special geographical climate, the roadside greenbelt in Winter Cities is different from other regions during the design process. Cold weather characteristics on the one hand, brought a lot of negative effects on the residents of the city, on the other hand, gave the city an unique landscape. Ice and snow in winter which inject fresh air to the city also brought challenges in using and creating landscape resources of Winter Cities. How to reflect the features of the cities should be focused on designing.The article exponds the definition of the Winter Cities and the contributions of the Winter Cities'movements at first.Meanwhile, the definition of the urban roadside greenbelt, correlated concepts and the functions and classification of the urban green space belts are described.Following that analyses the design principles and the relevant theories of the Winter Cities'roadside greenbelt.The emphasis of taking Changchun of Jilin Province as an example, through the analysis of questionnaires and investigations, some suggestions are given as resolutions to the problems existing. In this chapter, several points which should be paid attention to in designing are found through examples and corresponding suggestions are proposed as well.There are several key elements in landscape designing, namely, landscape plant, water scenes of garden designing, space site designing and small garden ornaments, to analyze the landscape design methods and principles of roadside greenbelt in Winter Cities. And to protect the geographical and culture features, with thinking about how to shape the characteristics of Winter Cities.In the last part of this articler, the author also brings forwards several measures and suggestions are given to guarantee the sustainable development of the Winter Cities'roadside greenbelt.
