With increasing development of computer technology, more and more software and hardware are used in industry control field, thus system integration becomes more and more complex. As a result, a universal standard is very necessary for both the users and the venders. OPC is just such an industrial standard. OPC—OLE(Object Linking and Embedding) for Process Control provides a universal standard for object-oriented industry automation software development. It was put forward for solving the communication between application software and varied drives of devices, thus improves their work efficiency greatly.In this paper, to solve the problem that there are so many subsystems and devices using respective private protocol in building management experimental system, an integration solution based on OPC technology is proposed. Through analyzing the OPC DA standard, application models in integration experiment system was set up, and the design method of OPC server and OPC client was given. Based on the practical demand, OPC server of intelligent Illumination control system was developed, and the reading and writing of the items of OPC server by Honeywell EBI platform was realized, namely realization of the third system and EBI's integration. At last, the performance of OPC server was tested, and the expected effect achieved.The research indicates that the system integration using OPC technology advances mutually operational performance of building automation system as well as simplifies system integration environment, and besides it makes the function expansion more convenient, and the whole system more open.
