With the development of microelectronic, computer control, electric power semiconductor, design and manufacturing technology of motor, AC servo technology has got a great advancement, and it has been widely used in most fields like military automation, industrial control, home appliance etc. AC servo system which has good properties, high efficiency and energy saving is gradually substituting for DC servo system. It has become the new focus in the field of servo research. AC servo is developing to performance optimization and simplified structural digitalization, and permanent magnet synchronous motor is becoming widely used due to its excellent mechanical and electrical properties. Therefore the research on digitized AC permanent magnet synchronous motor servo system has a crucial practical significance.This paper analyzes and discusses AC servo's definition, history, current situation and research overview at first. And compared with other servo motor the advantage of permanent magnet synchronous motor is also analyzed. And then the working principle, mathematical models and application of vector control of permanent magnet synchronous motor are introduced. Sliding variable-structure control way is selected to design rotational speed and position loop regulator. After this, the simulation model of the system is established and the simulation results are given. Finally, based on theoretical analysis and simulation result, its concrete hardware and software design and implementation is discussed, and the part of the software uses CCS and MAXII to write program.Based on vector control theory, this paper uses i_d = 0 control way, selects the control scheme of position, rotational speed and current sliding variable-structure control regulator of closed circuit, realizes instantaneous moment control; This paper also combines DSP with CPLD, this method of programming is more flexible, more easy for extending and improving system function. These are adopted to increase developing quality and speed, and to insure developing continuity and good maintainability. It has the advantage of high reliability, low costs and high-integration. All these are of key significance in the design of high quality control system. The simulation results show that the proposed control system is feasible and efficient. Variable structure control with sliding model can solve these problems caused by the dynamic characteristic well. Speed regulation and location performance of the system can be improved significantly, so as to lay a solid foundation for the practical application of AC servo system.This paper researches on high performance of AC driver in order to change the situation of dependency on foreign countries and to improve international competitiveness of our country, meanwhile it could promote science and technology progress, commercialize and internationalize of high-tech products of our country, and could generate great benefits for economy and society.
