Research On Device Of Detecting The Metal In The Road Installed On Cold Planer

The cold milling machine is one of the chief machines used to maintain and work on the asphalt road. With coming of the date of repairing road and attention of highway administration and government in the cities to modern maintainment, the planer has been needed and used widely. In the meanwhile, some problems in the progress of the planer work appear greatly. During the planer work, because there are metals in the road that can't be seen, the milling rotor and the cutting tools are often damaged. As a result, loss is suffered and work is delayed. So, it is more important that device of detecting the metal is fixed in the planer.After looked up lots of references, principles of the planer with the function of detecting metal domesticly and internationally are studied. Technology of detecting metal and detector used widly now are analyzed, compared and chosen. Composition and use of detector are introduced.During the experiment, data and parameter and its change rule are written down, arranged and summaried. The proper position of detector fixed in the planer is decided. Detected space by the detector is studied.By the experiment, the proper position of detector fixed in the miller is decided. It is proved that the metals in the road can be detected by the detector rapidly and exactly.
