Analysis Of Tensile, Flexural, Shearing Yield Load Of Metal Plate Butt Joint In Light Wood Truss

Light wood truss is the significant component of the frame of roof of the light wood structure,which is used most extensively in North American region as a kind of environmentally friendly structure.Metal plate butt joints are the most common joints of the light wood truss.The light wood truss is being attached importance to by more and more Chinese in recent years,which has been already applied in projects.in China.Therefore,the research on the tensile,flexural,shearing yield load of the metal plate butt joint in light wood truss has real guide significance to the design calculation of this structure.This paper briefly introduced the light wood structure,metal plate connected joints of the light wood truss,which include support ends joint,roof ridge joint,butt joint,web member joint,overlapping joint.This paper introduced the requirements for the.position of the butt joint in detail,then expounded the procedures and results of analysis of finite element software Ansys,which include the influence of the length of the teeth of metal plate, the thickness of the metal plate, the ratio of the tapping area to the gross area of the surface of the metal plate before tapping,the permutation of the perforations of the metal plate on the tensile, flexural,shearing yield load of metal plate butt joint in light wood truss.The analysis in this paper will provide some accordings for the design of metal plate butt joint in light wood truss.
