The metro vehicle of Beijing Fu-Ba line is one of typical metro vehicles of type B, until now it has been served on lines by ten years, and it is time to overhaul. According to the problems on lines, BMTROC Rolling Stock Plant applies to the project of improving the metro vehicle frame. On the background of improving the metro vehicle frame of Beijing Fu-Ba line, this article carries out structural strength analysis and modal analysis on the new metro vehicle frame. In the first place, this article analyse the improved pieces of the new bogie. Then, this article builds up the solid modal of the new bogie frame by use of PRO/E. And, via importing the solid modal, the finite element modal of the bogie frame is built up in ANSYS.Secondly, Referring to UIC 615-4 OR-The Reliability Trial of Bogie Frame, this article tests and verifies the static strength of the new frame. And, this article has imvestigeted the necessary condition for the method of maximum principal stress. Accordingly, this article converse multiple axle stress state to single axle stress state by use of the method of ORE. According to the ORE's axiom, this article program precedares for the principal stress vector. It is used to implement the ORE, via the software Matlab.Again, in order to the endurance test of the new frame, this article also forecasts the static strength of the frame to refer to the static strength test outline of the metro vehicle bogie frame of Beijing. From the results of the forecast, the nodes, those are comparatively large in the stress, can be show on all of the load cases. Finally, this article has done the modal analysis on the new frame. And it is easy to acquire the dynamic property of the new frame, such as natural frequency, modality and so on.
