Research And Development On GIS-Based Route Scheme Evaluation System

At this stage, the highway infrastructure of China is still in a period of rapid development. Route scheme is the prerequisite for highway construction, is the base of the quality of projects, and also is the leading of projects management. "Design is the core", the route scheme design is the core of the soul, and it affects the quality of the project, the environmental protection, the traffic safety, as well as is the most critical factors which control project cost. Therefore, the highway route scheme evaluation is essential, and is the necessary links which ensure the quality of highway route scheme.Most of the design units are still using the traditional method in the route scheme evaluation, and that is combining the comprehensive analysis of the route scheme in the map and field exploration. This method laborious and time-consuming, is not only the lack of accurate quantitative data analysis, but also the feasibility of exploration in the field have great difficulties and inconvenience, and the experience factors often play a decisive role in the evaluation. So there are many problems in the Accuracy, feasibility and objectivity of the evaluation. This article focused on resolving these issues, and has achieved the function that the route scheme was displayed and queried in the vector topographic maps, and could provide the security, economic data of quantitative analysis, which could provide a basis for evaluation of route scheme and improve the quality and efficiency of evaluation.The route scheme composite evaluation requires a large amount of integrated spatial data and attribute data, such as geological terrain, hydrological conditions, natural environment, human environment, while the rapid development of geographic information systems (GIS) provide a powerful tool for us which could store, manage, analyze these data. The GIS application in the highway industry is the research hotspot in recent years, and also is one of the directions of transport industry in the future. In this paper, GIS as a platform, using vb.net language developed GIS-based evaluation system of highway route scheme, which use of computer artificial intelligence, spatial data analysis and other cutting-edge technology to complete the highway safety evaluation, economic evaluation.
