Study On Optimization Of Bus Stop Routes Capacity

As the problem of traffic congestion in big cities is more and more serious, the bus priority has been a basic policy for public transport. Public transport has entered the rapid development stage, and bus stop routes capacity increased quite a lot, especially in big cities, and some bus stop routes capacity have reached more than 20. So it leds to buses line up in bus stop for a long time, passengers get on or get off the bus unsafely. Meanwhile it reduces the road capacity, impacts on road traffic running qualities and urban environment, reduces profit of the public transport company. The dissertation studies the bus stop, through document analysis and observation research method, and then combined with a large number of research datas,gets the optimization method of bus stop routes capacity.The paper introduces an overview of bus stop from the standpoint of bus stop classification,length, location and then detailed analysis is given. Wishing it can make preparation for the coming studies. Then the paper gives the definition of bus stop routes capacity.and analyses the calculation formula of bus stop capacity. The paper analyses the bus queue process in the bus stop by queue theory and the calculation formula of bus stop routes capacity is put forward based on the analysis, wishing it can lay the theoretical foundation for further analysis. And then it optimizes the bus stop routes capacity from the type of stop,number of berths,dispatching frequency based on the bus stop routes capacity formula, from the effect of bus stop on the road capacity,and from model parameter.Finally,the paper takes YingMengKou overpass stop of the second ring road in ChengDu as example, and introduces the basic situation of it, and calculates the routes capacity through using above the theoretical formula, and then optimizes the routes capacity from different aspects.
