As the rapid development of modern measuring and controlling technology and industrial production, the requirement for measuring system and instrument meets a new high. The content and object for testing is getting more and more complicated. As a result, it's critical to facilitate with a more efficient and accuracy testing system. Thus, the traditional manual testing can't meet the requirement. As the perfect combination of instrument technique and computer technology, the virtual instrument technique brings the better solution for testing engineers. Considering the relatively lagging situation of domestic testing technique and analyzing the features of performances of constant velocity joint assembly, this thesis adopted LabVIEW, an advanced virtual instrument software, and integrated with recent emerging techniques and achievements to develop a specific testing system to meet the heavy need of research and implementation in testing technique.The parameters in performances of constant velocity joint assembly are concluded, and classified into several types to find appropriate ways to collect them in terms of their concrete content and features. The experiment environment of constant velocity joint assembly performance testing is designed and demonstrated. Based on existed research, required precision and practical condition, corresponding improvements are made for the first suit of tester.. The hardware structure is given to meet the requirements of constant velocity joint assembly performance testing. Main assemblies'parameters included but not limited to sensors, motion control card, servo driver and data acquisition card are calculated respectively. LabVIEW is adopted as the software developing platform to design the module. The motion control module and data acquisition module is an emphasis of the whole software. Finally, the application of monitoring and control system realizes the study of constant-velocity joints assembly performance of a pilot. The system has achieved a precise moment before measurement, smooth movements of the motor speed as well as reducing the structural factors of the universal joints caused by the test error.This thesis comes from the joint program between SJTU and Zhejiang Wanxiang Group Technology Center. The aim of this thesis is to apply LabVIEW to construct high-level measuring and controlling system of automobile constant velocity joint assembly performance tester. The study of this thesis has basically got a satisfying result, and the completed product has been transferred to the enterprise and won good reputation.
