Research On The Urban Public Space Renaisance Based On Environmental Behavior

During the 20th century, the quantities and scale of cities was stimulated by the accelerated development of urbanization, The changes of city's structure and function had bought about many positive effects to the urban residents, but it also bought all sorts of negative effects; urban problems appears one after another and people have to seriously thought about the development of the cities again.Urban public space is open public place which provides social intercourse and activities for urban residents, it serves for most of people.As a subsystem in the urban space, the operating state of the urban public space reflects the level of urban economic development, the quality of life and the status of cultural progress from the another side. However, under the influence of early ideas of urban design, The car-oriented planning ways of thinking makes the construction of Urban public space appears lots of problems, such as the lack of user-friendly environment,the decrease of public spaces and the public space'quality became increasingly falling off and so on. How to make the loss urban public space to restore vigor and vitality has became one of the important issues that must be solved in the process of city's development.Based on the related theory of environmental behavior, This thesis starts the discussion of the urban public space renaissance from the angle of the combination of the transformation on physical space and human conduct and psychology .By the excavation and analysis of the urban public space's loss reason, the article collected many practical cases about the construction and renovation of the urban public space, analyzed and summarized its practical characteristics and process, summed up the strategies on the renaissance of urban public space: improve the quality of traffic; places the return of human nature; coordinated the ecological environment; replaces the function of places; improve the basic services and facilities. then separately elaborated these strategies. Finally, the thesis put forward the design methods of urban public space renaissance , accordingly to provide an important reference for the future renaissance of the practice of urban public space.
