At present the switch device of separating explosion and feeder power switch used under coal mine almost is contactor, so spark is easily produced during its operation process. Generally the contactor is controlled by dispersive semiconductor integrate circuit and relay. So protection to device is not reliable. In addition separating explosion and feeder power switch has some disadvantage, such as big volume, high weight, and lacking of communication with monitoring system of supplying power network under coal mine. With the development of modern technology in coal mine there is higher requirement of performance and protection of supplying power switch. So the research of new low voltage intelligent switch of coal mine (the following name is intelligent switch) is important.Switch device and various protective function of intelligent switch mostly are discussed in this paper. At the same time the core circuit controlling is designed including hardware circuit and software. Hardware circuit is made of signal input circuit, micro-controller system, LCD display controlling circuit, switch control circuit, and Ethernet communication circuit. The program of software is composed by alternative signal sampling routine, LCD display routine, Ethernet communication routine, and main routine. There are two creative view in this paper. One view is that contactor is taken place of TRAIC which is controlled by micro-controller C8051F020, and the other is that Ethernet communication function between intelligent switch and compute is realized. So monitor and control to device from long-distance come true.At last hardware and software is connected to debug. Various protective function of device are realized such as short circuit, overload, phase failure, over voltage, and lacking of voltage. At the same time communication function of Ethernet between intelligent switch and compute is realized too. So the aim of design is attained. When defaults is offered by manual work, intelligent switch correctly operator. So feasibility of this research is validated.
