The major of EPS is strong in theoretical property and need to combine closely with practical. Nowaways,teaching in this major is mainly based on books and students can't simulately operate on real EPS.The effect of teaching isn't obvious. So it's a important subject in the revolution of EPS modern teaching to develop a graphics platform which is used in teaching and can flexibly simulate real EPS.This paper describes the developing of EPS graphics platform which is used in teaching. The development is based on cross-platform graphics database and Qt4 toolkit with C++ language. The paper includes the design of power-grid model database,the development of grid topo, the construction of CIM real-time database, graphics maintainment platform, and the work-platform.The design of power-grid model database is according to IEC61970 CIM standard.It is successful to choose suitable database structure and model to develop CIM double oriented RTDB (real-time database) which fits the EPS dispatch hierarchy of China,In the part of graphics software modeling,this paper describes the methods in EPS equipments modeling based on Qt4 toolkit with C++ language.With the the port of database design of Qt4, this paper realizes the effective savement and management to EPS model information.After analyzing several mature methods of topo-searching in EPS,this paper give out the procedure of static and dynamic topo-analysis to EPS using the BFS method and effect of dynamic topo-coloring.And the paper performs examples of simple Load Flow Calculations and the interface to view graphics files.
