With expanding of power grid, intellectualization has become an inevitable trend. On account of desynchronized development and renewal of the power system, graphics data and model information have no standardized pattern. Eventually it leads to difficulties in information sharing and data exchange between power application systems.IEC61970standard is one of core standards in smart power grid. By defining application program interface (API), it achieved integration among energy management systems (EMS) or between EMS and other power application systems. Common information model (CIM), which is the major component of IEC61970standard, defines structures and relations of all objects logics in power system. And CIM is the basis of power system graphics standardization. Scalable vector graphics (SVG) is an open standard used to describe vector graphics. Due to its editability, interactivity, reusability and other features, SVG has been widely used in power graphic systems. The work of this thesis is graphics exchange standard and software system two aspects. For graphic exchange standard, this thesis researched the structures and main contents of IEC61970standard and the CIM model, designed graphic symbols of power equipments, and defined standardization logic of wiring connection drawing. Based on SVG standard, this thesis characterized primary equipment graphic symbols, forming a standardized graphic elements library according with CIM model."Oneobject-multidefinitions" pattern was applied in the design and definition of graphic symbols so as to represent states and drawing directions of graphic elements in wiring connection drawing. For graphics standardization system, this thesis analyzed the constitution of wiring connection drawing, specified graphic conversion rules, and developed corresponding standardization software. This thesis studied open source techniques in relation to SVG files processing, and developed power system graphics editor based on open source framework, JHotDraw, eventually implemented parsing and standardization of the existing power system graphics in SVG format. In addition this thesis researched topology analysis method upon graphical information and put specific markers at the connected points and crossed points. The system implemented in this thesis combining with another project from friend team implemented remote control test based on IEC61968messages, which confirmed matching between graphics and standardized grid model. On the basis of graphic symbols definition and conversion rules in this thesis, power system graphic presentation can be standardized; beside the efficiency of interaction and sharing can be improved. The graphics could be adjusted automatically based on the graphical topology analysis in this thesis.
