In this paper, based on the current situation of fire protection development, city fire station layout problems of our country, as well as the analysis of domestic and foreign research achievements on this respect and major hazard survey data of Shenyang in 2005, a layout optimization model of the fire station basing on city's fire risk is proposed. In research of the city fire station layout optimization model, which is according to "5 minutes" Fire and responsibility of the area 4-7km2 in "city fire station construction standards", a new principle of site selection is proposed: the minimize sum of fire risk of the area, which is the fire station node to each major hazard node, then according to the site selection principle, the layout optimization model of city fire station is established. We introduce and analyze a variety of assessment methods of the city fire risk, in order to determine the measurement method for city fire risk in this paper. we divide the cities into sub-regions, in order to determine the number and the responsibilities area of the city fire station, making preparation for the establishment of the layout optimization model for city fire station. According to topology of urban road, all junctions of the city sub-region are abstracted as nodes and all the city's main roads are abstracted as lines, and turn into the road topology. Then, according to the definition of fire risk and related mathematical methods, we establish the layout optimization model of the fire station in a single region and multi-region layout optimization model for the fire station. We take the Huanggu District in Shenyang for example, making use of the established optimization model to locate fire station in this region.
