Nowadays, the methods of determination of UKC are mainly the relative proportion, absolute scales and the mixing internationally. Generally speaking, in the three methods to determine UKC the first method is more scientific, not only to consider the theoretical analysis requirements, but also taking into account the actual experience of pilot boat parade requests, so it can better cover the different ships. If you determine the specific percentage of the appropriate, after all, it's a better way. The second method is more often due to a single factor, and the empirical methods are obvious, so with great limitations, often err too stringent or too loose, and therefore compared with other methods, it is not the best approach. The third method combines the advantages of the first two methods, but as a criteria for determining UKC, it is difficult to have a universal character. Since there is no large scale ship measurement data to verify, given the focus of different ship types and the different test methods, the conclusions are slightly different.Huanghua Port is to meet the needs of coal ship out into the water the Shenhua Group.It supports the construction of Shenhua coal transport railway port So it is China's second west-east coal access to the sea. Except for a small northern coastal power plants using coal, the domestic trade Huanghua coal exports destined for East coast and the main port and power plant in South China coastal terminals, currently ships arriving at port are mainly 50,000 tons. Huanghua port coal export is mainly destined for East and Southeast Asia, the transport distance of 500 to 3000 nautical miles, economical and reasonable ship style is 50,000 to 100,000 tons. Europe is a key development market for Shenhua Group, the transport distance of 10,000 nautical miles around. It is expected that ships arriving at port will mainly be 100 thousand tons. Huanghua Port, if can not meet the ship of 100,000 tons or above, the European route traffic will be difficult to place.Based on the above analysis,50,000 t-class ships arriving at Huanghua Port will show a growing trend,100,000 tons ships will be important to the future development of Huanghua Port. Surplus UKC in Huanghua Port affecting the safety of ships and ship loading is one of the main factors. Under the conditions of the existing channel in Huanghua Port, whether can fully exploit the potential of channel, under the premise of meeting the security and given a reasonable UKC requirements in order to improve coal loading port, has been a subject worth studying.By analyzing the factors that affect the UKC, this paper suggests that the core of the UKC of narrow waterways deep shallow waters to determine is the determination of the ship squat and to explore the shallow waters of a narrow channel and navigation subsidence calculation of Huanghua Port UKC and with relevant international standard of comparison so as to arrive safe navigation Huanghua method for determining the UKC.
