| The construction of University is always the focal points in the strategies of the national educational development. In the recent ten years, the contradictions between the rapid development of the scale of University and the non-renewable land resources is coming out. So we should propose new requirements for teaching buildings of University. At this time, the research for the universality of the new teaching buildings of University has profound significance and historical value of the times.The thesis focuses on the universality of the new teaching buildings of University, and studies on several aspects with practice and research integrating methods. The theory aspect mainly takes historical-research method, document-research method, system analytical research method. The practice aspect mainly takes on-the-spot investigation and design of actual projects method.The thesis is made up of 5 parts. The first part:though summarizing the researching documents on the teaching buildings of University and according to the summery of the developing history of teaching buildings of University at home and abroad, the writer proposes to solve the contradiction which the colleges face today with the design method of using general spatial pattern. The second part:according to the universality space theory based on the theory of "less is more" and " the space for flow " by Mies van der Rohe——the function of the buildings can change with demand of people, the writer put forward the concept of the University of the teaching buildings of University that some space of the teaching buildings of University can serve for more than two kinds of different activities at the same time, and that it can change its special function according to its users in different times. The third part:the writer approaches a subject on space type of teaching and transport in teaching building, all kinds of the universality strength, four space relationships of the universality spaces and non-universality spaces, and optimizing special composite patterns. Part four:the writer deduces the smallest size of the universality spaces in teaching building and the basic module of the universality spaces, summarizes the universality design mode of the classroom and aisle in teaching buildings, and elaborates the typical examples of the design of the general spaces of new buildings of University. Part five:in the design of the actual project of the architecture and art College department building of Hefei University and second-Period of Liangxiang campus of Beijing Technology and Business University, the writer applies universality space design mode, witnessing the feasibility of the use of universality space design mode in the designs of college buildings, and proposing some new ideas and directions for new college school teaching building design. |
