Colleges and universities infrastructure construction rapidly because of the rapiddevelopment of economy, attaches great importance to education, and a result of collegeexpansion. As the era of knowledge economy and the rapid development of the highereducation idea coming, education of architectural design pay more and more attention toeducation ideas and teaching mode which is pursuited to satisfy with the past compared tothe basic construction of teaching of "subsistence". Especially in the teaching buildingoccupies a large proportion in the infrastructure construction in the college, and bear themain teaching task. Therefore, the design of teaching buildings under the influence of thecontemporary education idea is the most obvious, its performance characteristics is also themost representative. Space is building the "protagonist", the specific function of buildingspace form should conform to the construction requirements and the user’s activity rule, thisis a kind of understanding for "form follows function". So we see the impact of the neweducation idea of teaching building and requirements, mainly reflected in the building spaceform. In Western Europe, northern Europe and North America, meanwhile, the three"education and building heights" of the new school building practice, has built a largenumber of new teaching buildings. These new buildings on the one hand, before the designmain consideration of the contemporary education idea, on the other hand, building spacedesign is also in order to promote the new teaching and learning activities. It has certainlearning and reference for the education building is still in the meet the needs of theconstruction of education buildings and traditional teaching requirements in most ofdomestic.This article first from the perspective of higher education research, in the fullunderstanding on the basis of the higher education development and reform, sort out theimpact of new education ideas for building and construction development trend. And thenthrough the study of today’s design philosophy at home and abroad advanced new teachingbuilding practice case, analysis the cases on the processing of building space form, how tothrough the architecture design gimmick to make it meet the requirements of modernteaching activities. Finally through to the construction of basic theoretical understanding, tosummed up the contemporary teaching building space design strategy to adapt to the newteaching activities. Expected to provide reference for future architectural practice, designconform to the basic national conditions, to meet and promote the teaching building of thenew education idea.
