The semi-rigid base, which fits the demand of heavy traffic in the highway, is widely used because of its good performance and favourable economy. Weifang in arterial highway construction projects in the use of a variety of types of semi-rigid, one of the most commonly used by cement stabilized macadam base, lime-fly ash stabilized aggregate base course and cement fly ash stabilized base.Based on the practical use of semi-rigid base in Weifang, the pavement performance and mechanism of strength of three structures course are further researched. Then parameters of the three structures such as unconfined compressive strength, modulus of resilience, cleavage strength, anti-erosion property and shrink parameter are comparative analysed. Through experimental data of 90 days and 180 days,the conclusion is proposed which strength, durability, frost resistance of cement fly ash stabilized base course are better than other structures.Based on the current construction state in Weifang, the construction technology process of semi-rigid base is made. Corresponding requirements are proposed which is about mixing of mixture, transportation, paving, rolling, joint treatment and so on. The control measures are approved after analyzing the reasons of compactness, smoothness, mixture segregation and so on.
