Whether automotive powertrain system is reasonably matched largely determines vehicle power performance and fuel economy. This paper introduces the powertrain system matching methods, and the basic function,application scope and concrete operation procedures of AVL-CRUISE , the vehicle performance simulation analysis software,and the component parameters settings of the software.According to the specific TY4250 tractor,the dynamic performance and fuel economy of the model established by CRUISE is simulated and analyzed. Based on the parameters test of performance on road,the simulation result has been proved to be simulative to the test,verifying the correctness of the model.Build the entire vehicle model of TY4250 combination vehicles by CRUISE. As TY4250 combination vehicles consists of TY4250 tractor and semi-trailer, it is only necessary to add trailer to TY4250 tractor in CRUISE model,and carry on the corresponding parameter setting and module connecting. Through the simulation of TY4250 combination vehicle , some related performance parameters are obtained. The results show that it still needs to be optimized.Analyzes the powertrain system parameters of TY4250 combination vehicles,and optimize it with ISIGHT software by choosing three proposals of powertrain system matching, and carry on the simulation calculation. The results show that fuel economy of TY4250 combination vehicles get obvious improvement applying the scheme 1 and 2 based on the vehicle dynamic performance.
